We're the Brians - Scott & Jake, and our precious daughter - a queer family living in Black Mountain, North Carolina. We moved here a couple years ago and have been pouring love and hard work into our property to have it ready to host guests. We owned and operated three beach vacation rentals in St Augustine, Florida for 10 years until we decided to return "halfback" to our home in Cincinnati, Ohio. We missed the seasons so we settled in the Appalachian mountains where we enjoy the temperate climate and all this paradise has to offer. Our cabins were days from being finished when Hurricane Helene devastated our beloved Western North Carolina. Gratefully, our property sustained minimal damage and all of our animals survived the storm. When we were able to finish the last details of the cabins, we moved two families that lost their homes due to Helene into our cabins as they looked for longterm housing. The Gordie is now vacant and open to visitors, and The Gertie will be housing a family through the end of January. We are thankful to have had the opportunity to host them, and look forward to hosting more guests as these families move into new homes. We live on-site to take care of any needs you may have.
